Comic-Con 2011: The Next Mortal Kombat DLC Fighter: Freddy Krueger

Well, this is intriguing. WB has announced that the fourth DLC playable character for Mortal Kombat will be none other than Freddy Krueger, the dream stalker. Who saw that coming? He’ll be available in August for $5 or in the Season Pass, but those at San Diego can try him out tonight from 7 to 10 at the GameStop in the Westfield Horton Plaza.

Brilliant move. I can’t wait for this. NRS have designed Freddy quite well. He may be based more on the 2010 film than the one from the 80s with Robert Englund (probably movie issues and rights here), but he still looks good and quite whimsical in his approach. Definite purchase here.
