Coming Soon: Battlefield 4 “Combined” Xbox One Mega Patch
The Xbox One is finally getting the Battlefield 4 patch it needs, according to DICE and Battlelog.
An update that was originally supposed to roll out last week has been rolled into another game update. Together, these updates form Levolu-tron, defender of the broken game universe.
From the official Battlefield 4 Control Room (emphasis added):
The update that was originally meant to go live the week of Dec 2 was delayed, but we decided to bring those fixes to the next upcoming Xbox One update.
This new combined Xbox One patch is currently in testing and certification, and we will release it as soon as possible. We are hoping to get it live late this week or early next week. We will keep you updated.
We will share the full change notes for this patch as it goes live. It will focus on stability and some of the feedback we’ve seen from the community, including a fix for the one-hit kill bug and Commander EMP blur effect.
So…basically everything that’s been pushed out to the PC and PS4? Gotcha.
These are troubling times in the DICE and EA kingdoms, my liege, and it’s not just the fact that Battlefield 4 is still running a little rough (to say the least) on consoles. EA is being investigated by mean-sounding Hot-lanta law firm for misleading investors on the development and quality of the title, and the publisher’s stock price is down on the news. That, topped off with millions of customers who are waiting for updates, patiently or impatiently, makes for a sour end to 2013.
If you’re still having problems with Battlefield 4 on any platform, let us know here, or add to the pile over on our Double XP Week post.
