Comment Of The Week: Call Of Duty: Mass Ops 2
When we delivered our take on Black Ops 2′s potentially innovative features, we expected our readers would have strong opinions about the upcoming Activision cash cow. What we didn’t expect is the way one of them would confirm that the fandom-meltdown of another 2012 franchise game has officially become a running joke on the Internet. But that’s just what reader Fletcher did when he offered up his own concerns about what Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 may have in store for players:
I like the idea but hopefully your actions actually do mean something. I can see it now, you encounter a Space Velociraptor at the end that tells you that Socialists and Capitalists cannot co exist. I then gives you 3 choices:
-Control the socialists.
-Merge capitalists and socialists together.
-Destroy all capitalists.
Oh and in all the endings the worlds fuel reserves are depleted somehow in the process. Did I mention that the only difference in each ending is the coloring of the special effects at the end as well?
So yeah, lets hope there is more to it than that.
I really do hope that when the Mass Effect 3 Extended Edition drops later this summer, the ending will be fixed and all will be forgiven. However, we should probably brace ourselves for the opposite. If so, I can think of no better outcome than for the ending to become 2012′s official symbol of hilarious failure.
Thanks, Fletcher, for doing your part to make that happen, and congratulations for writing our comment of the week.
