Cool Off with These Video Game-inspired Japanese Fans

Take a break and cool your heels with these video game-inspired Japanese fans. Using inks and watercolors, DeviantArtist Carrie Gonzalez, aka SarurunKamui, has painted a number of Japanese fans with designs based on Okami, Journey, and Pokemon—Japanese or Japanese-inspired titles perfectly suited in aesthetic for the medium. Sized at 9″ tall and 16″ wide when fully unfolded, the fans are fairly big and can be used for both decoration and for actually fanning yourself.

For those interested in purchasing the fans, she has a few of them on sale over on her Etsy store, where she also takes commissions for her work. They appear to be all out of stock at the moment, probably due to the fact that the fans have gone popular over the last couple days—little surprise, given the quality of the work.

These are the only fans these games will ever have. Hopefully EA and Activision will monopolise the Japanese games industry soon and bring them into the 20th century.
