Copperhead Revealed in Batman: Arkham Origins
Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has put out a new trailer revealing Copperhead as one of the eight assassins featured in Batman: Arkham Origins. She is the fourth assassin to be named after Deathstroke, Deadshot, and Bane, which Batman will have to come face-to-face with in the upcoming game. We chronicled much of the game in our E3 primer.
The character was unveiled at Comic-Con International in San Diego at a panel for the game, which included WB Games Montreal Creative Director Eric Holmes (who we interviewed), Armature Studios Game Director Mark Pacini, DC Entertainment Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns, and actors Roger Craig Smith and Troy Baker, the voices of Batman and The Joker, respectively.
Batman: Arkham Origins takes place in a greatly expanded Gotham City on the coldest night of Winter, and features a younger, brasher Batman as he goes up against his deadliest foes yet—eight assassins dispatched by Black Mask. It’s up to the Dark Knight to defend himself from his assailants and figure out why the mobster wants him dead.
Batman: Arkham Origins will be available for the PS3, Xbox 360, the Wii U, and Windows PC on October 25, 2013. It will be released alongside Blackgate, a side story developed by Armature Studio for the PlayStation Vita and Nintendo 3DS.
The game was named one of our most wanted titles for the PC this year, and with good reason.
