Counter-Strike Gets its First Fully Automatic Pistol
Thanks to player feedback and a new update from Valve, the AUG should no longer be OP. But now Counter-Strike: Global Offensive players have a new weapon scrutinize.
The latest CS:GO update delivers a new loadout option: the CZ75-Auto. It’s a pistol with identical stats as the existing P250, only the CZ75-Auto is fully-automatic and features a smaller ammo clip. It’s also the first full-auto pistol ever in Counter-Strike, so it’s sure to be of interest to die hard players. See it test fired in the video below:
“Accurate and deadly, the CZ75-Auto demands precise timing and trigger discipline,” Valve says in a post on the CS:GO blog. “High risk, and high reward.”
Along with the new weapon, the latest CS:GO patch (full notes) features a number of balance tweaks. Most notably, the AUG, which was tweaked just a week ago to boost accuracy and reduce recoil, has been nerfed. This will likely be good news for core CS:GO players, who likened the improved AUG to a Call of Duty weapon. Officially, the patch increases the AUG’s recoil, reduces its rate of fire, and reduces the speed of players running with a scoped AUG.
