Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Adds Customization Stickers

Valve wants to add to your sticker book.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive gets a major update today, opening the Overpass and Cobblestone maps to all, adding an underhand option for throwing grenades a short distance, coloring teammate icons on the map, and bringing various other tweaks. But the most noticeable change comes in the form of stickers — colorful decals that can be applied to any weapon.

Valve explained how it will work:

You’ll start receiving Sticker Capsules as drops when you play CS:GO. Capsules contain one sticker (out of several different designs), and can be opened with a special Sticker Capsule Key. Any sticker can be applied to any weapon you own, and you can apply multiple stickers to a single weapon.

Of note: you Team Fortress 2 artists out there will soon be able shift your designs from hats to stickers. Valve said is is currently developing a CS:GO sticker workshop. More info coming soon.
