Counter-Strike Pro Absolutely Dominates a Black Ops Multiplayer Match

Recently, pro CSS player Casey Foster decided to jump on a Black Ops server to see what all the fuss was about. The result was an absolute blood bath. Casey proceeded to crush every other player in the game and pretty much ignored his kill streak rewards. Adding insult to injury, Casey spent the entire game talking trash about how easy CoD was in comparison to Counter-Strike. Casey bragged that the gun he was using was “some random gun” he found on the ground. He even went so far as to issue a challenge to any CoD players, inviting them to try out a CSS server and see if you could get the same results he was getting. This guy is going to have CoD fanboys forming torch mobs at his door.

I am by no means a pro, but sometimes you just get into a game and do good. I mean ive went 21-2 one game, than in another 7-10. It really depends who your playing with, how good the enemy is and really if your having a good day or not.

Very true Russel. Casey sure was talking a lot of smack considering it was only his 3rd game. He might have just been getting lucky.

On the other hand, the more FPS games you play or have played also is a factor.

Each game and each engine have a different feel to them. COD has felt the same for the last five releases since it hasn’t changed. So for example, I played a lot of the first Modern Warfare, and had no problem dominating in the following COD titles on all systems, because the game was still the same.

CS was a far more precise game, while COD is more of an arcade like killfest. Dying in COD isn’t a big thing because chances are, you just spawned right next to the enemy player.

CS was round based, so people would logically play smarter, lest they have to sit out while the last two guys camp like idiots while the timer runs out.

In COD where there is no sit out or downtime, you’re more likely to just run around like an idiot. The game requires far less strategy to play than CS.

I wonder how he would do in HC? thats all I play on the CODs. Thats more precise the reg tdm. Just curious, oh and he was playing nuketown, thats just a murderfest anyhow.

Hey Casey,

You came to the wrong black ops server!
There’s plenty of old retired pro gamers from 1.6 playing this game.
There are some great names out there that would bite your head off if you had the courage to step in.
The average COD player is nowhere near an average CS player, I admit.
However when CS was young and millions where playing, the ratio of pro/noobs was the same.

Flaming is what you’re doing !

I can confirm how easy these CoD games are. I used to play CS:S for years and years (back in the days of CAL) and when I loaded up MW2 and Black Ops, I literally DOMINATED people. I really don’t think this guy got “lucky” especially in his third game.

You can also see in the video that hes not doing a lot of things that most CoD players do, like instant Prone shooting or jumping all around the place. Hes literally just firing his gun like any CS:S player would and hes owning the hell out of everyone.

You CoD players seriously need to understand that just because the game is “fun” it doesn’t mean your good at everything. Remember what happened to that 13 year old kid and his friend who we’re avid CoD players and they ended up playing with their father’s Glock because “they knew how to use it from CoD”? That kid’s friend in the grave right now.

Maybe his friend should have picked the Juggernaut perk.

I agree that counter strike is harder, thus generating better players. I could of gone pro in cs way back before source ever came out, I used to dominate the servers I would join but I also played the game every single day for over a year. I was probably sitting at 40 to 30 hours a week on it.

he has a point though cod is easy compared 2 css. Css is really tough and it is even harder if your just getting into it

COD is popular because of how easy it is to get into. All 5000 of my friends on facebook can jump in and play.

I pretty much die an instant firey death every round in css and I’ve been playing cs since the early days. Starting off it was hard as hell but the cool balistics model of all the guns kept me playing. I got used to being the 1st to get shot usually and just rush constantly now (especially on office 24/7) making sure I take 2 or 3 dudes out with me with p90 or m4a1 before I get blown away. that way my score will still be good. Dunno how pros stay alive in that game… if I feel like sniping for a bit I’ll get the famas. on rare occassions I’ll be the last one standing – and have that feeling you get when you know you’re gonna be accused of hacking – with alot of kills because I was 1st one into the fray.
I haven’t got that challenge at all with cod. you feel like the upgrades and sleight of hand tricks are doing the work for you. I just run around the thumper and a famas with another nade launcher blowing the clean **** out of everyone and myself…
I can’t wait for global offensive!

I might be the only FPS gamer who has never played a CoD game or a CS game.

But like Russel said, sometimes you just get into a game and do good. Only time where I did *really* good like this, was with the game “Star Wars: Battlefront” I started up the game, played the first few campaign levels without dying, and decided it was too easy. So I drag the difficulty up to the highest setting. I still played through the entire game, with the basic trooper, with the standard blaster rifle. I just about never died(Occasionally there was an explosion that took me out), and I never ever lost a level.

I didn’t like the game much at all, simply because I found it really, really boring. So I start up the game online, to see how it is. The players were certainly better than the AI, but I still completely dominated them. So far I’ve only found one guy who could best me at Battlefront, and I have only ever played MP three times, and the campaign once. I just found the game boring, so I didn’t play it more than that.

Still, that’s the only game where I could do “Crazy good” my first playthrough. Most MP games I have “Good days” and “Bad days”. On a bad day, I’ll get maybe 5 points in a TF2 round. On a good day, I’ll be at the top of the score board with crazy amounts of headshots. I’ve had people accuse me of hacking in that game on my “Good days”, but I get a lot more bad days than good :P

Dude, I love BATTLEFRONT, actually I love Battlefront 2 even more. I kind of wish they’d come out with Star Wars Battlefront 3 instead of Battlefield 3. I would have been the happiest dude ever.

CSS and CoD are both noob games. If this guy thinks he’s such hot at FPS game I’d like to challenge him to a Quake Live duel.

If any of you are under the impression at all that Black Ops is anywhere near as hard as CS…you’re insane. I am a 1.6′er that didn’t care for source and is playing black ops just to pass time basically and in a week i’m already better than 95% of the people i’m facing. It took me farrrrrrrr longer to get that good at 1.6 and when CS:GO comes out, i’m sure that will be equally as challenging.

I’ve never played clan matches on black ops, but I was CAL main in 1.6 … ops is nothing compared to CS.

lol, there are noobs on all games, and particulary on CoD, try to play with better players, and you will see that the result is not the same…

On April 4, 2012 at 1:58 am

And what the deal to compare the difficulty of 2 mlutiplayer games, that can’t be done. This depend TOTALLY of the enemies level…
The best way to know what game is harder to play would be to organise a war between a competitor of each game (which a pretty similar reflex and aim), and do 2 wars on each game…
