Creepy Watson Returns In Sherlock Holmes: Crime and Punishments

Do you remember Creepy Watson? Well, back in 2008, a YouTube user named tdous recorded a clip of Sherlock Holmes Nemesis to document the rather strange behavior of Holmes’ assistant, Watson, who would follow the player around without ever appearing to move his legs.

Simply put, Watson was programmed to follow the player around by teleporting to where the developers thought the player would be.

Set to some particularly suspenseful music, the video became an instant hit on Reddit. Although it didn’t become a meme or spawn any copycat videos (that we know of) the video was memorable for what it was. Watch it below:

Needless to say, the game’s developers at Frogwares picked up on the popularity of Creepy Watson, a video which now has over two million views, and have reproduced the character in all of its terrifying glory as an optional feature in the new Sherlock Holmes game, Crime and Punishments.

Creepy Watson is basically Slender Man with a mustache.
