Cuba Says Call of Duty: Black Ops is Bulls**t

So earlier in CoD: Black Ops (reviewed!), you get to try to assassinate Fidel Castro, the big man in Cuba. Apparently, Cuba is kinda pissed about that. State-run Cuban news website Cubadebate did some bitching today in a column about the game. Here’s one zinger: “What the United States couldn’t accomplish in more than 50 years, they are now trying to do virtually.”

Oh snap. But that’s not all. They also brought out the “video games turn kids into murderers” card. Check it.

On the one hand, it glorifies the illegal assassination attempts the United States government planned against the Cuban leader … and on the other, it stimulates sociopathic attitudes in North American children and adolescents.

Nice one. Makes me wonder if Jack Thompson has finally found new employment. This is really cute, either way.
