Daedalic’s Goodbye Deponia Coming to End Trilogy in Fall 2013

German adventure game maker Daedalic Entertainment is prepping the third installment in its Deponia trilogy, with the game to be released in the third quarter of 2013.

The Deponia games follow Rufus, a “tinkerer,” who lives on a trash planet called Deponia. His goal is to escape to the floating, beautiful city of Elysium high in orbit, but his plans of riding rockets and other contraptions to do it never really work out. In the first game, Deponia, Rufus meets an Elysian woman named Goal who winds up on Deponia, and finds out about a conspiracy to destroy the planet.

Both Deponia and the second game, Chaos on Deponia, are spent with Rufus trying to circumvent that disaster, or at least get off the planet before it’s ruined. You can check out our Deponia review here; our Chaos on Deponia review is here. Both are pretty fun adventure games, and Daedalic has a knack for humor in this series.
