Infinite Souls Exploit

  • WARNING: This only works for unpatched versions of Dark Souls. Do not connect to the internet while playing Dark Souls.
    1. Before using this exploit, you’ll need to find the Undead Female Merchant, in the bridge shortcut between the Firelink Shrine and the Undead Parish. You can buy a cheap item called Prism Stones from her for 10 souls each.
    2. Now that the Undead Female Merchant is available, you’ll need to complete your first big objective in Dark Souls — ringing the bells in the Undead Parish and in Quelaag’s Domain. Defeat the Bellfry Gargoyles and ring the bell in the Under Parish, then defeat Quelaag in her Domain at the bottom of Blighttown.
    3. Once both bells are rung, the Kingseeker Frampt will appear in the Firelink Shrine. The giant serpent can be fed items for souls — and there’s a small glitch with the Prism Stones, bought from the Undead Female Merchant. You can buy Prism Stones for 10 souls each, then feed them to the Kingseeker Frampt for 100 souls.
    4. Buy the maximum amount of Prism Stones, then sell them to the Kingseeker for an easy 9000 souls. This can be repeated as often as you want.

How in the world did you accidentally find this? I really don’t how ppl find these little glitches/bugs. I mean there are infinite possible ways and you just happen to perform these specific acts. It blows my mind.

This won’t work if you’ve played the game since patching. You’ll get an error stating that your save file version differs from the game version, and then the game will refuse to load.

Yeah the forest farming is still faster. If you have the master key you get to it early on. Doing this takes quit sometime since you have to ring both bells. You will end up in the forest before you get both bells rung.

There’s an even better infinite souls glitch that works (on both platforms, Xbox King you troll) that involves getting the dragon head stone by joining the Path of the Dragon covenant. Whoever feels they need to try it can look it up, but I have done it and it works. All you need is any type of soul item (i.e. soul of a brave knight, soul of an undead warrior, etc…).

Xbox King, you do know the game is ported over to the Xbox from the Ps3 version right? statistically, the Xbox version is actually the buggier version. so shut it troll.

    @ Oni

Omg I checked out the infinite glitch. Does this mean Dark Souls is a broken game now? Is everybody going to be level 150 a week from now?

Another thing, just how the heck did someone figure this out? You have to perform those specific acts. Its not something that happens accidentally. Its like me telling you to jump, walk forward, 360 left and right, attack, jump twice and walk backward to get god mode. You just don’t accidentally perform those acts.

Seriously guys, don’t feed the trolls.
People like these have nothing else to do than to identify themselves with some console and waste their otherwise pathetic live with posting bull about every other console on the market.

    @Xbox King

The only reason no one finds bugs in 360 games is because no one plays them.

I have both an xbox 360 and a playstation 3 and i borrowed my friends version of DKS on ps3 and what i found was its more likely that it was ported to the ps3 as the ps3 version showed more glitches, fps lags, invisible barriers, and sometimes when i block on the ps3 version i roll instead or attack with my right hand weapon. with the xbox 360 there seemed to me to be less graphical problems, sharper quality graphics and the gesture menu looked different also i had more problems to connect to people on ps3 than i did 360, and yes there are glitches on xbox games anyone who says theres a game that has no glitches is lying its just i notice the glitches on 360 get fixed faster and i heard that alot of ps3′s broke down because they couldnt handle FFXIII graphics… so in conclusion my personal preference is xbox 360 due to my own personal experience

amaterasu is right i had the same experience on my PS3 version. I rented the xbox 360 version and it is a lot smoother and that’s nothing to with console that’s to do with not porting right. I prefer the 360 but PS3 has great games that 360 don’t have and visa versa.

I just used the dragon head/infinite souls glitch and it kinda ruined the game. The fun in dark souls was dying a lot and then when you finally kill that boss you feel like.. a boss. but now being at level 142 on my first run through, it’s pretty f*cking boring since I can kill everything with one hit. Granted it makes you feel like a badass when you PVP against some forest covenant noob, but I now have to manually challenge myself using sucky weapons and armor (beating it decked out in hollow armor is a challenge). Still, at least I saved 3 years of my life by not farming xD

Hey I have a question, I finally rang the second bell and went ahead to use the glitch. I bought of the female merchant and sold to the Kingseeker, I only did a couple of runs and quit the game. Now when I start the game I can’t feed him the prism stones anymore. It’s grayed out and says “Cannot feed this item” anyone know a solution?

You can also visit the vendor in Undead Burg and buy throwing knives for 10 souls a piece. These can also be resold for 100 each. I think he sells something else that can be used in this exploit but I can’t currently remember what it is. It takes a little longer this way, but you get 3 times as many souls.

If you want to do the infinite souls glitch with better results, travel to the undead male merchant and buy 99 throwing knives, 99 fire bombs, and 999 wooden arrows, go to the nearby bonfire and store all of them in the bottomless box, then go back to the mervchant and buy all the aforementioned items again and go back to Frampt. You can feed him the knives for 100 souls each (bought for 10), the bombs for 100 souls each (bought for 50), and the arrows for 5 souls each (bought for 5), You could also buy 99 prism stones from the undead female merchant on your way to the undead male merchant. Figured this out completely on accident on my first play through.
