Darksiders 2: Legendary Items Locations Guide

Darksiders 2 is full of secret unique loot that’ll make Death an unstoppable killing machine — just how you’d expect him to be. In this action-RPG, you’ll be able to find random gear dropped from enemies, but you can also always find a few items scattered around the huge game world. There are secrets to explore everywhere, so unless you plan on combing every inch of the undead world, we suggest checking out our guide below.

Legendary Items Locations Guide

Legendary Scythes

Chaos Fang

Area: Tri-Stone
Instructions:

• Complete Darksiders 1 (Have a Darksiders 1 game completion achievement/trophy) then speak with the NPC Muria to collect the weapon.

Bheithir’s Talons

Area: The Nook (Optional)
Instructions:

• Defeat the the boss of the Nook.

Black Demise

Area: Soul Arbiter’s Maze
Instructions:

• Find the secret treasure on the fifth level. Find all the Sacred Tomes, or use our full Sacred Tome locations guide.

Demonflame Renders

Area: The Black Stone – First Floor (Past)
Instructions:

• Look for a room after leaving the main large chamber where you meet two new Legion enemy types – the Soldier and the Champion.
• Inside the large circular shaft on the eastern section of the dungeon, drop down to the very lowest grab-able ledge and circle around to find a hidden path.
• Then, run down the path and climb the back wall to find another secret area where the weapon is located.

GnoMAD Scythes

Area: N/A
Instructions:

• Rewarded automatically for finding all four GnoMAD Gnomes. Find all the gnomes with our Collectible Locations guide.

Goldbringer

Area: The Ivory Citadel – Second Floor
Instructions:

• In the open courtyard on the southern section of the map, you’ll need to solve a puzzle to continue past the water aqueducts. In the same area there are Corruption crystals hiding a switch.
• Destroy the crystals and pull the switch to open a gate. Instead of leaving, drop down from cliff with the switch and run to the end of the aqueduct.

Guillotine

Area: The Fjord
Instructions:

• Complete Blackroot’s Stonebite side-quest.

Lifebane

Area: The Veil
Instructions:

• This can only be unlocked on your second playthrough. In NG+ mode, defeat the Icebound Guardian to unlock this weapon.

Barbed Defilers

Area: The Crucible
Instructions:

• Complete waves 51-75 of the Crucible.

Static Blades (PRE-ORDER ITEM ONLY)

Area: The Eternal Throne
Instructions:

• This can only be unlocked during your second playthrough. In NG+ mode, complete Draven’s side-quest to return the Bloodless Talisman.

Legendary Secondary Weapons

Absolution

Area: The Well of Souls
Instructions:

• Defeat the boss “Absalom” to receive.

Achidna’s Fangs

Area: Psychameron
Instructions:

• Defeat the boss “Achidna” to receive.

Aftermath

Area: The Crucible
Instructions:

• Complete all 100 waves in one session.

Dark Avenger

Area: The Cauldron
Instructions:

• Defeat the boss “Gharn” to receive.

Executioner’s Hook

Area: Soul Arbiter’s Maze
Instructions:

• Defeat the boss “Soul Arbiter” to receive.

Fists of Elhazar

Area: Earth – First Floor
Instructions:

• After fighting the Noss and escaping into the underground tunnels, you’ll come out inside a ruined hotel. Look for a room with a hill of trash. Inside, look up and jump to a hidden alcove with the secondary weapon.

Gauntlets of Savagery (PRE-ORDER ONLY)

Area: Tri-Stone
Instructions:

• Complete the DLC side-quest for Karn.

Gorewood Maul

Area: The Weeping Crag
Instructions:

• Defeat the boss “Gorewood” to receive.

Lich Spines

Area: The City of the Dead – First Floor
Instructions:

• After leaving the central area and moving through the statue room you can’t yet solve, you’ll enter a hall through the north door.
• Inside the hallway, use the ledges to reach a post. You’ll need to use a 180-leap and then run along the wall to reach the high ledge.

Mace of the Everflame

Area: The Black stone
Instructions:

• Defeat the boss “Samael” to receive in New Game+.

Masher of Karkinos

Area: The Drenchfort
Instructions:

• Defeat the boss “Karkinos” to receive.

Mortis

Area: N/A
Instructions:

• Use the Downloadable Code that comes with the Darksiders 2 novel to unlock.

Omega Blades

Area: The Shattered Forge – Second Floor
Instructions:

• Fight your way through Constructs, and you’ll then need to swim through an underwater passage. You’ll come out facing Shadowbomb pods.
• Find the first Shadowbomb pod in the area, then return to the previous room to destroy some Corruptions crystals. The secondary weapon is located in the alcove blocked by the crystals.

Scepter of the Deposed King

Area: Lair of the Deposed King
Instructions:

• Defeat the boss “Argul” to receive.

Spear of Storms

Area: Shadow’s Edge – Death Tomb 4
Instructions:

• Found inside the fourth Death Tomb, you’ll need to return forty Pages of the Dead to unlock this optional area. Find all the Book of the Dead pages with our guide.

Sunder

Area: Earth
Instructions:

• Talk to the NPC “Uriel” after finishing their side-quest.

Legendary Talismans

Assassin Talisman

Area: The Crucible
Instructions:

• Complete waves 76-100.

Blade Master Talisman

Area: The Nook – Death Tomb 2
Instructions:

• Found inside Death Tomb 2, you’ll need to collect twenty Pages of the Dead and return them to unlock this optional area. Find all the Book of the Dead pages with our guide.

The Crown of the Dead

Area: The Soul Arbiter’s Maze
Instructions:

• Defeat the Soul Arbiter at the end of this optional dungeon. To reach the Soul Arbiter, use our Maze Puzzle Solutions.

Demonheart Talisman

Area: Lair of the Deposed King – Death Tomb 2
Instructions:

• Found inside Death Tomb 2, you’ll need to locate and return twenty Pages of the Dead to unlock this optional area. Find all the Book of the Dead pages with our guide.

Elemental Talisman

Area: The Crucible
Instructions:

• Defeat the final challenge at wave 101.

Grim Talisman

Area: Tri-Stone
Instructions:

• Complete the Shaman’s Craft side-quest for Muira.

Heartstone Talisman

Area: The Crucible
Instructions:

• Complete waves 1-25 to unlock.

Hoardseeker Talisman

Area: Lostlight – Death Tomb 3
Instructions:

• Inside Death Tomb 3. You’ll need to collect thirty Pages of the Dead to unlock the optional area. Find all the Book of the Dead pages with our guide.

Keen Talisman

Area: Boneriven – Burial Passages Area 7
Instructions:

• Inside Boneriven, you’ll have to make your way through underground tomb tunnels. In the second of these tunnels, just as you enter the room, look in the first alcove to your right.

Legendary Armor

Pauldron of the Horseman

Area: Tri-Stone
Instructions:

• Play Darksiders 1 (Have an achievement / trophy on the same machine) and the NPC Muira will give you the armor.

Abyssal Boots

Area: The Crucible
Instructions:

• Complete waves 26-50.

Abyssal Spaulders

Area: The Crucible
Instructions:

• Complete waves 76-100.

Abyssal Armor

Area: The Crucible
Instructions:

• Collect all the Pages of the Dead to enter Death Tomb 4. Inside the Tomb, destroy all 12 pots to reveal a hidden chest. Find all the Book of the Dead pages with our guide.

Abyssal Gauntlets

Area: The Fjord
Instructions:

• Turn in all 30 lost relics to Ostegoth.
