Data Miners Discover Titanfall Has 15 Maps, Six Modes
While countless gamers shot it out in the Titanfall beta over the weekend, a handful of others were busy mining its code for data. One data miner in particular struck gold, discovering what appears to be the names of all 15 Titanfall maps.
After playing Angel City and Fracture all weekend long and not getting even slightly bored, it’s safe to say Titanfall’s 15 maps (if NeoGaf poster RazorUK’s find is accurate) will keep me hooked well into the summer. Here’s the list he discovered using a hex editor on a Titanfall data file:
In addition to the maps, NeoGaf also found a set of acronyms used for what appear to be Titanfall’s six game modes (seven if you count Variety). Here’s the list and the presumed modes:
AT – Attrition
TDM – Team Deathmatch
CTF – Capture the Flag
LTS – Last Titan Standing
HP- Hardpoint Capture
VM – Variety Mode
These are all speculative until Respawn offers confirmation, and as of yesterday, they still weren’t quite ready to reveal the full number of maps.
@TOSSTHATSALAD Titanfall maps range from small, to big (Fracture) to fairly large. We will reveal more details in the coming months.

The only item that seems a odd in NeoGaf’s find is Team Deathmatch. Given that Attrition is in the beta (along with Hardpoint and Last Titan), we know it’s basically Team Deathmatch, only with a score limit. Could very well be that Respawn is including a straight Deathmatch as well, but that would seem a bit repetitious to me.
Regardless, I look forward to seeing the full Titanfall package on March 11.
Oh, and in cased you missed it, the Titanfall beta on Xbox One is now open to all. There’s no need for a code, simply go to the Demos section in the Store and download. Respawn also extended the beta by a day due to some glitches on Friday, so we’ll be able to play until Wednesday, Feb. 19. Respawn said it would like to fully open the PC version, as well, but there is no word yet on whether or not it will happen.
