David Cage Announces Beyond: Two Souls at E3, Starring Ellen Page

Onstage at Sony’s E3 press conference, David Cage has just announced Quantic Dream’s newest title: Beyond: Two Souls. Beyond is the story of a girl named Jodie Holmes, who will be played by Ellen Page. Jodie has a friend (or presence, or something) in the world in-between the living and the dead, something like a ghost.

Beyond will tell Jodie’s story over 15 years of her life. The short teaser shown during the conference featured Jodie sitting silently as a police officer tried to ascertain who she was. Later, we saw her surrounded by explosions as she fled the police.

We’ll have to wait on more info to know exactly what Beyond is all about, but until then, I can tell you the footage is very squarely located near the uncanny valley. We’ll have more on our E3 channel as the week progresses.

Game Front is on-site at E3 2012 all weekend (June 5-7), bringing you daily news, hands-on previews, interviews and pictures. Stay tuned for more PC gaming-focused coverage!
