David Hasselhoff to Appear as a Character in Pain

Gaming Today

Some people might argue that there are no levels of randomness, and that things are simply random or they’re not. I disagree. And today’s new Pain announcement on PlayStation.Blog goes a long way in proving my point — to coincide with the release of the newest expansion, the movie studio, Knight Rider and Baywatch star David Hasselhoff will be added as a playable character.

The sensation from Germany has even recorded a cover of Culture Club’s “Do You Really Want to Hurt Me” for the game, which will perhaps introduce those, like myself, who were unaware that The Hoff (as he apparently calls himself) even had anything resembling a music career, to his musical masterpieces.

I’m hoping this opens the floodgates to more celebrities making their way into Pain. While there’s no way to actually injure your character in the game, it would be pretty amusing to watch Conan O’Brien fly through the skies before crashing into a giant bowling ball.

I’m not big on celebs so even if I saw them in game, chances are I wouldn’t know who they were.
