David Hayter Confirmed as Writer for Lost Planet Movie

Variety is reporting that David “Solid Snake” Hayter has been confirmed to write the screenplay for the Warner Brothers movie based on the videogame Lost Planet. You may recall that last moth both Hayter and Warner Bros were in talks with Capcom about the movie, and it looks like those talks turned out well for all parties involved.

Hayter has previously written the screenplays for the moviesĀ  “X-Men 1 & 2″, and the upcoming “Watchmen”.

Producers for the movie will be Avi Arad, Ari Arad and Steven Paul who produced many Marvel comic book movies until Marvel created their own production company. The producers have their own company called Seaside Entertainment which is currently adapting Ghost in the Shell into a live action movie.

Capcom will contribute to the financing of the Lost Planet movie.

Warner Bros and Capcom will work together with Seaside Entertainment on the adaptation of Lost Planet with David Hayter to write the script for the film with a storyline to follow the game.
Davis Films Samuel Hadida has Onimusha on hold and John Collee is writing the script as the story was ed up with this silly Big Trouble In Little China
being put on the script which it will be scrapped and needs to be rewritten to follow the plot based on Onimusha Warlords game, their will be other Asian script writers to adapt the script with Collee to co-write.
Onimusha movie will have a cast and filmmakers which they all be Asian and all the Onimusha fans want to see the live action of the Onimusha film to have an army of Saito clan and Oda clan fighting against each other and Samanosuke and
his female ninja friend Kaede to work toghter to fight Nobunaga Oda and the Genma demons. The plot of the film will be set in feudal Japan 1560.
Onimusha will be filmed in Japan and there will be some Japanese production companies to produce the film with Davis Films.
Thank You.
