David Jaffe, of Calling all Cars fame, is reportedly soon to be leaving Sony and forming his own studio in Utah. The new studio is apparently a partnership with Incognito Entertainment head Scott Campbell. Also, the new studio is supposedly completely independent of Sony.
SCEA had no comment on the news, saying only, “We have made no announcements regarding any change in David Jaffe’s relationship with Sony Computer Entertainment,” through a company spokesperson. Jaffe has also made no public comment, aside from plugging the studio on his blog.
Campbell reportedly has no plans to move to Utah, so it osunds like the new studio will be under the direction of Jaffe, with occasional input from Campbell. It makes sense, as Campbell most likely has his hands full dealing with the buzz generated by Warhawk. I guess we’ll have to wait and see how all this shakes out.
