DC Universe Online Delayed; Here’s Two Videos to [Maybe] Make You Feel Better

Looking forward to the launch of DC Universe Online? Well stop that, because said launch has been delayed. The PS3/PC title was set for a November 4 release, but now Sony says it’s being pushed back to 2011. Frowny face. SOE is dedicated to delivering the highest quality game experiences possible,” said Sony Online prez John Smedley.

OK, Smedster. Fair enough. Continue.

As the game heads into external beta testing, this extra time will allow us to address community feedback in a meaningful way. When we get deeper into external beta, we’ll be able to share more information regarding the new launch date.

Oh yeah, the beta. Sony also says that starts next week. So I guess the folks who are really into this thing will be OK. And folks who aren’t already registered for the beta can still get into that if they pre-order the game by November 15.

To further lessen the blow that is this delay, I have two videos for you. First: a nice “travelogue” for the Metropolis┬áPolice Station.

Second: Some combat.

Played closed beta. The game is repetitive and boring.
