D&D-Based MMORPG Neverwinter Dated for Release

Cryptic has announced today that the Dungeons & Dragons-based MMORPG Neverwinter is getting released before the end of the month, on June 20. Currently available in open beta, the game will be shedding its beta status to enter the market as a free-to-play game to the public.

The game’s launch day also marks the release of Gauntlgrym, high-end content for PvE and PvP content for the game’s high level players.

“New challenges await within Gauntlgrym as players fight for the greatest treasures hidden deep in the ancient Dwarven city. Seasoned veterans who have mastered the many dungeon delves and skirmishes of Neverwinter should prepare for their toughest challenges yet.”

In addition to announcing the game’s launch date, Cryptic has revealed the first module for Neverwinter, titled Fury of the Feywild. The module will be available for free this summer and tells the story of an invasion by the Fomorian Giants as they attempt to seize the Elven city of Sharandar.
