Dead Island Spreads To MOBA Land With Dead Island: Epidemic

Deep Silver has announced Dead Island: Epidemic, a free-to-play title in the Dead Island series (read our review of Dead Island: Riptide here) that’s being designed in the vein of Dota 2 and League of Legends.

The game is described as a ZOMBA, or “Zombie Online Multiplayer Battle Arena” set in the ever-expanding Dead Island universe, pitting three teams of players against each other in what the press release calls “a desperate fight for survival.”

Little else has been revealed about the game, such as whether it’ll play from an overhead perspective or retain its first-person viewpoint.

At this point, we have more questions than answers. We expect to find out more details about the game as it’s unveiled at the upcoming Gamescom event in Cologne, Germany later this month.
