Dead Rising 2 Delayed into September

In a move calculated to frustrate zombie-killers everywhere, Capcom has announced that the release of Dead Rising 2 has been delayed nearly a month.

The US launch date, originally set for August 31, has been pushed back to September 28. The European launch date originally, September 3, is now October 1.

There’s no word on the reason for the change, and there’s also no word on whether this has any effect on the Dead Rising: Case Zero prequel that will be releasing exclusively on XBox 360 prior to the Dead Rising 2 release.

Regardless of the reasons behind it, this delay means that you’ll have to wait an extra month to start slaying the zombies of Fortune City. To tide you over, how about a couple of trailers (tucked in after the break) and our E3 Hands-On Preview?
