Dead Rising 2 Magazines

Like in Dead Rising 2, collecting magazines from in-game locations act as power-ups or provide buffs, affecting the segment of gameplay relevant to their subject matter.  There are a bunch of them scattered around, some in out-of-the-way locations. We’ve prepared a list, which you can find below, of where to find them all.

Bikes (Bikes have 3x the durability) – In the vault area of the Slot Ranch Casino

Amusement (Novelty items have 3x the durability) – Ultimate Playhouse (Palisades Mall 1F)

Bargaining 1 (Lowers the cost of pawnshop items by 10%) – Americana Casino (Upper Platforms)

Bargaining 2 (Lowers the cost of pawnshop items by 10%) -  Food Court (Upper Platforms)

Blades (Edged weapons have 3x the durability) – Underground (Warehouse D)

Building (Construction Items have 3x the durability) – South Plaza (Upper Platforms)

Combat 1 (10% bonus to PP from weapon kills) – Stan’s Large Print Books & Magazines (Palisades Mall 2F)

Combat 2 (10% bonus to PP from weapon kills) – Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow (Royal Flush Plaza)

Combat 3 (10% bonus to PP from weapon kills) – Underground (Warehouse A)

Domestic (Furniture items have 3x the durability) – Maintenance Room 12 (Fortune Park)

Drinking (Drinking alcoholic drinks will not make Chuck sick) – Atlantica Casino (Upper Platforms)

Driving (4-wheeled vehicles have 3x the durability) – Bernie Jack’s BBQ Shack (Americana Casino)

Gambling 1 (Significant increases when playing gambling games) – Ragazines (Royal Flush Plaza 2F)

Gambling 2 (Significant increases when playing gambling games) – Stan’s Large Print Books & Magazines (Palisades Mall 2F)

Gambling 3 (Significant increases when playing gambling games) – Shamrock Casino (Silver Strip)

Games (Entertainment items have 3x the durability) – Atlantica Casino (north poker room)

Hand-to-Hand (Significant boost to hand-to-hand combat) – Ragazines (Royal Flush Plaza 2F)

Health 1 (50% more health restoration from food items) – Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow (Royal Flush Plaza)

Health 2 (100% more health restoration from food items) – Baron Von Brathaus (Yucatan Casino)

Horror 1 (Get  10% PP boost from killing zombies) – Ragazines (Royal Flush Plaza 2F)

Horror 2 (Get  10% PP boost from killing zombies) – Stan’s Large Print Books & Magazines (Palisades Mall 2F)

Juice Boost (Consumed juices’ effects last twice as long) – Luaii Wauwii (Silver Strip)

Leadership (Survivors are more effective when in Chuck’s party) – One Little Duck Bingo (Silver Strip)

Playboy (Get a 10% boost to PP from female survivor-related activities) – Palisade’s Mall 1F (atop the central grotto)

Psychos (Get a 25% PP boost when defeating psychos) – Platinum Strip (North Upper Platforms)

Rescue (Get a 25% boost to PP from survivor-related activities) – Fortune City Arena (Security Room)

Skateboarding (Gain the ability to do a new trick when on the skateboard. Skateboard durability increased 3x) – Fortune City Hotel

Sports (Sports items have 3x the durability) – Stan’s Large Print Books & Magazines (Palisades Mall 2F)

Anyone found a super weapon in this game similar to the small chainsaw in dead rising 1.

thanks loads i money for the vehichles and this helps loads (dont like TIR) P.S(or i am just not good enough to enjoy TIR)

once you have read the magazines do you have to find them all again once you restart the story or do they stay with you like the money and pp ?

You have to have the magazines on you for the affects to work, reading them doesn’t do anything other than tell you what they do.

The 25% boost doesn’t really help. I don’t know if it reflects with when you’re around level 50 because I saved 4 survivors and the PP bar only went up a little. It would probobly work better if you’re around level 20 or something.

Is it true that if you have a magazine from a certain case and you beat the game with that magazine without dropping; do you get to keep the ability when you restart your campaign?
