Dead Space 3: Awakened DLC Releases Today

Dead Space 3 sees the release of its first story-based DLC, Awakened, which takes place after the events of the single-player campaign. It comes with both single-player and co-op support so players can go it alone as Isaac Clarke or join forces with John Carver as they face a daunting journey ahead of them.

As madness takes a hold of both Clarke and Carver, the duo can no longer trust what they see—or each other. Together the two must find a way off Tau Volantis, repair their ship, and find their way back to Earth.

Dead Space 3: Awakened is available today on the PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, and Origin for the PC. It’ll cost you $9.99.

I just finished it Michael and its not really what you think. The DLC doesn’t impact so much the actual ending of the game. You can skip it if you dont want to play it or pay for it because i’m sure if you play Dead Space 4 when it come out you will not be confuse by the story if you dont play Awakened. The story behind Awakened seems just to tease us about what will happen in a possible Dead Space 4.

Awakened confirm to us that Isaac and Carver survived the crash of the moon and learn that the other Brethren Moons just awakened and seek to consume every organic life on earth. The ending of the DLC have a ”To be continued” feeling. Your not sure if Isaac and Carver had survived this final confrontation against the necromorphs after all and It up to you to theorize if they had survived or not and if they doesn’t come back in Dead Space 4 this will mean they died at the end of Awakened.

Buy it if you want to prolonge your Dead Sapce 3 adventures or skip it if you are satisfied with the actual game.

I give it a 7,5/10. A good DLC but not indispensable for the story.
