Dead Space 3 PC Graphics Settings Rundown

It seems reports of Dead Space 3′s PC version painted a grimmer picture than they should have. YouTuber ChristopherOdd produced a video showcasing a rundown of the PC graphics options for the game, and they’re nothing to baulk at.

While the reports suggested Dead Space 3′s PC version would be a direct port, the video reveals that the game supports resolutions beyond 1080p, as well as a plethora of custom graphics settings. Bloom, glow, depth of field, SSAO, screen space reflections, blur, post processing, motion blur, flares, decals, and distortion can all be individually turned on or off. Further, light quality, lighting accumulation, anti aliasing, shader quality, shadow quality, and anisotropic filtering can all be configured.

While it is true that the game lacks options for high-resolution textures and DirectX 11 support, executive producer Steve Papoutsis’ defense of the port suddenly becomes understandable.

You missed the highest options in the shadow quality (soft, High soft).
