Dead Space iOS Game Will Launch Same Day as Dead Space 2

New screens hit the Internet yesterday from the iPad version of the upcoming Dead Space title Electronic Arts is planning for Apple’s iOS devices, and today we’ve got a firm date for its launch: Jan. 25, the same day Dead Space 2 hits shelves.

There was a little confusion surrounding the game even last night. EA’s Dead Space Twitter and Facebook accounts posted a link to an IGN story featuring the new screens iPad screens we saw yesterday, and that story pegged the release for “next month.”

A tweet from @DeadSpace, however, used the wording “this month.” Then Destructoid got it nailed down as being the end of January and Dead Space 2′s date.

As for pricing, however, we don’t really know. We do know that the game features invisible controls (read: touching the screen in certain places does different things, but there’s no virtual joystick or buttons, it seems), that it bridges the story gap between Dead Space and Dead Space 2, and that it features an engineer-suit-wearing protagonist named Codename: Vandal.
