Destiny Beta Details Revealed in Leaked GameStop Letter

New details have emerged about the planned of the upcoming Destiny beta.

According to a leaked letter to GameStop employees, the beta as it’s planned will include four competitive multiplayer maps, four story chapters, a cooperative strike and a portion of the game’s world for exploration. A screen grab from the Xbox store has further revealed that the beta’s download will be a hefty 12.63 GB. Speaking about beta last week, Bungie warned prospective players to expect problems, some of them intentional.

“Even if the Beta is working perfectly, one of the alpha-geeks in the operations center is gonna kick it to see if it still works,” said the studio in a blog post. “Fortunately, we’ll be going to great lengths to keep you informed and keep you in the game.”

The Destiny Beta is slated to launch on PS3 and PS4 on July 17th. The Xbox 360 and Xbox One edition will, in turn, commence on July 23rd. The beta as a whole will run until Sunday, July 27th.
