Are you really looking forward to Dead Space? No, I mean REALLY looking forward to Dead Space? Enough to pay almost three times as much as the regular game for an extra special edition? Then you might be interested in the “Ultra Limited Edition” of Dead Space that EA is selling through their online store. They’re only selling a thousand of them, and they’ll each cost about $150. For that, you’ll get the game, plus:
Special Ultra Limited Edition packaging Dead Space Downfall Animated Movie (DVD) Bonus content DVD Exclusive lithograph art 97-pg Dead Space art book written and illustrated by the development team 160-pg Graphic novel
Yep, that’s pretty “ultra” and “limited” alright. Oddly though, they’re only making this available for the Xbox 360 version. Still, if you’re really really excited about Dead Space and have a few extra bucks laying around, you can pick up this edition of the game at the EA Store.

No game limited edition is worth $150…or even $100. The most I’ll ever pay for a limited edition is $60, MAYBE $70, and then it had better have content that’s worth it. I bought the special edition of C&C, but I got a deal on it – same price as the original game pretty much, and I bought the Oblivion collector’s edition, the ONLY collector’s edition I’ve ever really been satisfied with, it has decent packaging, and some decent extras.
And why is it that when you pre-order games from gamestop now, you get extra content? It’s like you’re not getting the complete game if you get the pre-order edition…and why is it always multiplayer maps? How are we supposed to play against the players who didn’t pre-order games (which is most people these days).
Seriously…who pre-orders games anymore? Especially EA games.
