Details on Black Ops 2 Matchmaking, Security, Servers, and Mod Tools

A post on the Call of Duty forums has revealed details about Black Ops 2‘s matchmaking system, servers, security, and mod tools.

The post explained that the dev team has its own proprietary server-side anti-cheat technology that will work alongside VAC, and an improved player reporting system. Further, a full-time dedicated PC anti-cheat team will be working as of release to detect and ban cheaters.

Black Ops 2 will have both Matchmaking and Dedicated Servers, allowing players to get into Public Matches or League Play via matchmaking lobbies.

The post also confirmed that Black Ops 2 will neither feature mod tools, nor the ability to rent a server.
