Deus Ex: Human Revolution Gets Some Cheapie DLC

While we’re waiting on The Missing Link to see the light of day, Eidos Montreal has put out some bite-sized DLC for DXHR for us to chew on in the meantime. These two packs have appeared on Steam today:

Explosive Mission Pack — $2.99

  • Bonus mission
  • Grenade Launcher
  • Remote-Detonated Explosive Device
  • Automatic Unlocking Device.

Tactical Enhancement Pack — $1.99

  • Double-Barrel Shotgun
  • Silenced Sniper Rifle
  • 10,000 extra in-game credits
Wait, did that say a bonus mission? What the hell does that mean? I don’t have any notices about this in my email, so I don’t know. Man.

The explosive Mission Pack was given free for Gamestop preorders.

Bonus Mission is not a big deal. Its just another small option available during the game. Its not really a side mission that adds an hour or two to gameplay. Its like you how you can kill, bribe, knock out someone to finish a mission. Its just another way to finish it.

Grenade Launcher is cool but only available near the end of the game so you can’t really fool around with it much.

Remote Explosives are fun. They can be planted in numbers and detonated all at once. Gives you more ways to muck around after you finish the game.

Auto Unlocking Device- You have to buy it and its a use and lose it bomb like device. You can throw it on any level hack and it will unlock it but you don’t get any bonuses. Useful to level 5 hacks since there aren’t a lot of them you don’t have to waste a Praxis kit and just use these devices.
