Deus Ex: Human Revolution ‘The Missing Link’ DLC Hints at More Moral Choices

You know that DLC for Deus Ex: Human Revolution we’ve been hearing about? Now we have a teaser trailer. Doesn’t show much in the way of info, but does a great job with the teasing.

SPOILER ALERT: We’re about to talk about the plot of DXHR as it relates to The Missing Link DLC.

Now’s your last chance to leave.

Okay, good.

So here’s what we know: Adam Jensen hops in some sort of stasis pod when he infiltrates the Belltower Security ship in Hong Kong. Three days pass and Jensen gets out of the pod, and it’s almost as if we’re supposed to think that nothing happened in those three days. But apparently, something did happen.

It seems Jensen is intercepted while aboard the ship, and it seems, tortured in a device extremely similar to the one Solid Snake is strapped into during Metal Gear Solid. During the course of his capture, he’s stripped of his augments. It also seems as though there are other people on the boat. And it sounds like Adam makes it his mission to save them — and maybe fails.

All speculation, obviously, but what we do know is that there are new characters and new layers of the conspiracy that get explained in the DLC. Wonder if that ship might be owned by one Stanton Dowd of Deus Ex, perhaps?

Anyway, the DLC is due in October.

Download the trailer here.

Keep ‘em coming Eidos. DEHR rocks and there are a lot of anxious customers waiting and willing to purchase any DLC. I don’t need to read any reviews for this game. I’ll just get it whenever its released.
