Dev Reveals Watch Dogs’ Minimum PC Specs

Back in October, when we still thought Watch Dogs would make its original November release date, the minimum and recommended PC specs were briefly posted on Ubisoft’s Uplay platform. The devs at Ubisoft Montreal quickly said the specs were inaccurate, but it turns out they weren’t very far off.

Creative Director Jonathan Morin posted the official Watch Dogs minimum PC specs on his Twitter:

Making that tweet a little easier on the eyes:

GPU: Direct X 11 graphics card with 1GB VRAM

CPU: Quad Core (Intel Q8400 or AMD Phenom II X4)

RAM: 6GB

Sound Card: DirectX 9

HDD: 25GB of space

Other Watch Dogs news of note: Morin revealed that there will be a multiplayer mode that allows up to eight players to free roam (and set hacktastic traps for one another) in Watch Dogs open world. Ubisoft Montreal also shared the resolution/frame rate on consoles and PC:

  • PS4: 1080p/30fps
  • Xbox One: 960p/30fps
  • PC: up to 4K/framerate varies

And if you missed yesterday’s announcement, we’ll be able to see how it all looks for ourselves when Watch Dogs is released on May 27.

Mike, i’m pretty sure both of those CPU’s are quad cores so the minimum req will be quad not dual.

Those cpus are quad cores. Maybe you somehow missed the “Quad” and “X4″ in their names.
