Devil May Cry 4: Refrain Suddenly Hits App Store – for $1.99!

We found out about Capcom’s iDevice port of Devil May Cry 4 back at the beginning of January, but there wasn’t a whole lot of additional information about it — not even its release date, other than that we should expect it sometime before the end of that month.

Well, January ended and it’s February now, but mostly true to its word, Capcom Mobile has, in fact, released Devil May Cry 4: Refrain to the App Store, with almost no fanfare. But get this — the 10-level Nero-heavy experience is available right now and it’s on sale for $1.99!

I’m not sure what the full price will be, but I’d be surprised if it wasn’t at least double the current rate and probably more like $5. So DMC fans ought to act now if they’re interested.

I downloaded Refrain last night and spent a little time with it, and it seems like it does a pretty decent job of capturing the DMC spirit and bringing like the signature combo systems and ability upgrading of the franchise to the iOS platform. We’re working on a full review that’ll be up shortly, though.
