Diablo 3 PvP Patch Launches Tomorrow; No More HC Death Rollbacks

Diablo 3‘s vaunted patch 1.0.7 launches tomorrow, which will at long last introduce PvP to the game. The dueling system, which has been renamed to “Brawling,” allows players to engage in 2, 3, and 4-player free-for-all skirmishes with no objective beyond pummeling your foes into pulp.

Blizzard has also revealed that those players who have been cheating the system to resurrect their dead Hardcore characters via account rollback will soon be roll-blocked. In a post on the Battle.net forums, Community Manager Lylirra said:

“Hardcore characters were never intended to be revived or undeleted by an account rollback. Bringing Hardcore characters back to life via rollback really isn’t in the spirit of Hardcore (where death is permanent, no matter the circumstances).”

Lylirra went on to state that account rollbacks will no longer bring dead Hardcore characters back to life, because some players have allegedly been abusing of the system in order to achieve this.

Will you give Diablo 3 another chance with dueling, aka brawling?

i will never try it out… i played d3 for a month or 2, and stoped.. since then they locked my account and i keep reciving text messages telling me a secret number to cahnge my password some is tryed to hack my account and they locked me out… i don t have time to waist just to retrive my account, if they hadent locked it i would of given it atleast a try, but those suckers locked me out, too bad, ima have to keep playing Path of Exile, no prob, no hackers, no auction no real money to buy stuff, D3 is long dead to a free to play game… a free to play game should of been the 1 with a money auction house, not a ing real game….. its like the opposite of what should have been diablo 3 should of been great, path of exile if a free to play it should of sucked, but they changed roles i guess

I think the real life money exchange in d3 is going to greatly add to its life cycle, I’m expecting blizzard to release free expansions payed by those transactions, other then that the game has been improving with every big patch they release.

Also a lot of the items that would of cost you 50 million to obtain now only cost a couple mil so the auction house has some how been fixed and prices are where they should be.

Nope…

PvP wasn’t even a factor when I bought Diablo 3… All I wanted was a good single-player experience… But no, they had to put a DRM and constantly change (ie. Nerf) everything possible, while leaving Witch Doctor broken, last time I played…

Torchlight 2 gives me the ‘Diablo’ experience I wanted, and more (the pets are so greats, I’m not sure I can’t play another ARPG without one!…)…

If and when I play Diablo 3 again, it’ll be more out of curiosity (how it is, compared to how it was when I left it) than genuine will to play it…

If you want a “Diablo” experience just play Path of Exile its a ftp game that’s in open beta. Diablo 3 just wasnt fun to me after the first play through
