DICE Recommends Chrome and Firefox For Use With Battlelog

We’d heard on the BF3 forums the other day that the recommended browser for Battlelog is Internet Explorer 9, which sounded totally ridiculous. And it was ridiculous, because that’s not true at all.

“Actually we recommend you use Google Chrome and Firefox with Battlelog,” says the Battlefield Twitter, who would know a thing or two about this since they’re the Battlefield twitter. So I guess we should take their word for it.

I should note that I have been using Chrome since launch and everything has worked splendidly. So there.

I only use IE.

During the beta, the EA people told me to use chrome or firefox.

I didn’t want two more browsers. But, I got them anyway. Neither worked.

EA was blaming everything on Windows/Internet instead of their own origin service. I still haven’t purchased BF3 because it didn’t work at all in the beta, and based on what everyone has been saying, it likely won’t work now.

I am sad.

You shouldn’t use Internet Explorer anyway… first browser that people get through security loopholes, most websites aren’t really optimized for it anymore, it’s slow, and it uses more system resources than necessary.

Battlelog crashes my FireFox, I use IE9. Only reason I still have IE installed.

Shame it doesn’t support Opera.

I use Chrome without problems (other than Battlelog being Battlelog). I wouldn’t rip on IE9, though; it’s beaten both Firefox and Chrome in security and performance evaluations.

I’m using Chrome 16.0.912.15 – Battlelog doesn’t display some interfaces smoothly, like all Stats – I have to manually refresh each section to display themm
