Dishonored: The Knife of Dunwall DLC Announced
Players who’ve experienced at least a small portion of Dishonored will remember the assassination of the Empress that sets the rest of the game‘s events into motion. On April 16, players will be able to take on the role of Daud, the assassin, in The Knife of Dunwall.
The DLC is set to include new powers, weapons and gadgets, all of which are unique to Daud and otherwise unavailable to Corvo in the game’s main campaign. Like Corvo, Daud is blessed with the mark of the Outsider, allowing him to use supernatural abilities that allow him to track his prey and kill them with lethal efficiency. He can even call upon his allies, the Whalers, to aid in his assassinations.
Daud’s arsenal is set to offer a twist on staple abilities like Blink; new gadgets—Chokedust to daze enemies, and whale oil-powered Stun Mines; and a concealed Wristbow for assassinations.
As Daud, players will make their way through the Legal District and infiltrate the Rothwild Slaughterhouse, new locations in the city of Dunwall’s urban sprawl never before visited by Corvo.
Like the original campaign, The Knife of Dunwall will offer players a choice to seek redemption or turn towards darkness—a choice which depends on the skills you use and the actions you take. Daud’s story is set to conclude with the release of The Brigmore Witches, a future DLC.
The Knife of Dunwall is priced at $9.99 on Steam and is also available for the Xbox 360 and PS3 on April 16.
