Dishonored Will Have a Native PC Interface


Bethesda has a great track record when it comes to PC games, but it’s not perfect. Skyrim, despite its many fine qualities (and highly anticipated Dawnguard DLC), shipped with a poorly designed UI that drove PC users crazy.

Thankfully, Dishonored won’t suffer the same fate. In an interview with PC Gamer, staff at Arkane Studios, which is developing the game for Bethesda, emphasized their PC credentials. Crucially, they allayed our fears about another slapdash console port: “yes, the PC has its own different interface.”

It’s sad that they even have to state that a game on PC will have a “native PC” interface.

The software industry, games especially get away with to much. This is like a car manufacturer saying your car will come with wheels, it’s nothing to be proud of, it’s expected and par for the course.
