Dissecting New Dark Souls 2 Gameplay With James and Mitch
Information about Dark Souls 2 has been coming at a trickle. There were mentions of a new engine new engine, then an extensive Edge Magazine feature, which provided tantalizing screenshots, veiled hints, and vague philosophies (including troubling references becoming more “accessible”).
The trickle has become a flood, thanks to a 12-minute gameplay demo that debuted today on IGN. Still, it left plenty of questions. How will those torches work, exactly? What are those new icons in the HUD? Couldn’t have the graphics have been improved, y’know, even more?
Game Front video ninjas Mitchell Saltzman and James Heaney are on the case. They break down the gameplay demo in detail in the video below, dishing out the kind of analysis and speculation that will keep you going until more information is revealed.
