Dissecting the Max Payne 3 Technology & Design Trailer

There series begins in snowy New York, Max Payne’s traditional environment. He’ll be in and out of grungy apartment buildings and rat-infested back alleys.

A significant portion of the game, however, will be spent in sunny Sao Paolo, the biggest city in Brazil, and the biggest city in the Southern Hemisphere.

It’s full of lots of places for Max to visit (and riddle with bullets). There’s the lobby of a fancy office building, festooned with modern art:

Or the office itself. Bet those glass dividers sounded like a great idea before the workplace got turned into a shooting gallery.

Brazil, as you might imagine, also offers some grimier locations, like gas stations and non-descript industrial parks.

There’s even a creepy, empty soccer stadium. The Brazilians do love their futebol, after all.
