Ryse: Son of Rome Getting New DLC, Price Cut

Horde mode is coming to Ryse: Son of Rome.

In a post on the Xbox Wire, Microsoft and Crytek announced the “most ambitious and robust” DLC yet for Ryse, Mars’ Chosen Son.

There are five new multiplayer maps and a new ‘Legionary’ skin, but the headliner is the new co-op horde mode, Survival. In it, you and a friend will battle waves of increasingly blood-thirsty barbarians. Crytek’s spin on horde mode is to make each player’s health gradually drain. With each successive wave, health will deplete at a faster rate.

Ryse: Son of Rome — Mars’ Chosen Son is set for release on February 28 for $9. In addition, Microsoft announced that the core game will be getting a sizable price cut, from $60 to $40 in the Xbox One store, starting tomorrow.
