Double Fine Releases Amnesia Fortnight Prototypes

Double Fine has released the five playable Amnesia Fortnight prototypes it spent the past three weeks working on. Contributors can now download prototypes for the following five ideas: White Birch, Autonomous, Starbase DF-9, Hack’n’Slash and Black Lake.

Three of the prototypes — Starbase DF-9, Autonomous and Hack’n’Slash — were temporarily removed from the download until certain issues with the files can be resolved.

If you haven’t seen the video pitches for these five titles, be sure to check them out. Hack n’ Slash is a Zelda-like game where you can hack the code to win; Spacebase DF-9 is a space station sim; The White Birch is an “ambient platformer” in the vein of ICO; Autonomous is a sandbox-style construction game featuring player-built robots; and Dark Lake is an adventure game set in a fairytale forest.
