Double Fine’s Dropchord Gets In Motion With A New Trailer

Double Fine has released a trailer for their upcoming rhythm game, Dropchord.

Dropchord is the first game to require the Leap Motion Controller, a motion-sensing camera that’s said to be two hundred times more precise than Microsoft’s Kinect.

The footage shows how players must control two points on the circumference of a circle with their hands to do… well, I have no idea exactly what’s going on, but it looks like players will have to pretend as if their hands are holding the ends of a baton and ‘clear’ spots that pop up within the circle.

Needless to say, the game looks like it’ll require a lot of moving around. Backed by a trance soundtrack, the trailer is short, but it looks enjoyable.

Dropchord is being developed by the same team which created Kinect Party and Double Fine Happy Action Theater.

The psychadelic game is set for release on the PC, Mac and iOS. The Leap comes out in May.
