Download the Risen 2 PC Demo on Steam

Risen 2: Dark Waters released earlier this year on PC, and if you’ve been hesitant about picking it up, you can now download the demo from Steam to help make up your mind.

Game Front editor Ron Whitaker reviewed Risen 2, giving it an 80/100 and applauding it for simply being fun. The difficulty level can become extreme at times, the animations can be stilted, but the graphics are great, the character customization is plentiful, the gameplay is challenging, and… it’s just fun.

You’ve got to love the pirate-based theme. Do be wary of the homophobic and misogynistic humor, however.

Head over to Steam to download the demo.

The very beginning is a bit boring and disappointing but gets more fun as you spend more time in the game.

You can spend 4+ hours in the demo if you do everything possible.

Mildly curious about this game but I’ve had consistently poor experiences with Euro RPGs.
