Fortress of Remembrance
This massive dungeon bears similarity to the Duskmoon Tower. Like that area, this hub leads to several other dungeons. You’ll also need to find a Void Key to continue.
Unlike the Tower, this Fortress is full of deadly opponents. Zombies, undead, and banshees stock the bridge over the massive chasm below.
Taking the stairs down, Death will make a second appearance. The killer specter is practically invulnerable at this point, but if you do manage to damage him, that damage will carry over into every single fight. Death’s health bar is so massive, it will take multiple battles to bring him down.
There’s no need to bring him down this time. Attack for a few minutes, keep running if he appears nearby, and don’t stand still. Call your pawns to come whenever you can, and don’t get bogged down.
Eventually, Death will leave and you’ll be able to clear the bridge of the undead. There is one new creature, the banshee. These female ghouls will screech, stunning anyone nearby.
Open the chests across the bridge before continuing up the stairs. Climb the ladder, and you’ll find a store room connected to a hallway overlooking another tower.
The tower is your goal. Down the hall, two giant skeletons will appear to cause problems. Climb onto their backs to avoid damage and slow them down, encouraging the pawns to attack.
At the end of the hall, you’ll find the entrance to the Pilgrim’s Gauntlet. Go ahead inside to get the Void Key at the end, or continue to explore the Fortress.
Continue toward the top of the tower, and deal with the annoying Succubi in your path. Grapple them out of the sky, shoot with magic, or use arrows.
There’s another engraving on the top of the tower, between more treasure chests. Be sure to collect it before continuing down.
Down the steps, locate the broken Riftstone and fix it if need be. Otherwise, continue moving. This is a good place to save, as a challenging foe draws near.
Continuing down the tower, you’ll find bridges leading to new areas. The center level is guarded by wargs, but as you move down to the bottom level you’ll face a new terrifying creature.
This massive humanoid is the Eliminator. It wears a minotaur helmet and swings a deadly hammer madly. As it charges, a powerful attack will knock it back and stun it for a scant few seconds.
Taking it down early on can be very difficult and time-consuming. The Eliminator prefers to fight in the narrow tower, and attempting to draw it out usually won’t work. If you’re lucky, attempt to knock it into the abyss below.
Otherwise, it’s a slow fight. Use Ice Affinity or any lightning-enhanced attacks to do extra damage. It’ll still be a long fight. The rest of the area is empty, don’t feel bad about running by this guy and getting into the areas below.
The bottom level’s door is locked. Get the Void Key from The Pilgrim’s Gauntlet mentioned above.
The center bridges leads to an optional area called The Black Abbey.
There’s also a hidden area you can reach. Drop down from the destroyed ledge near the bridge leading to the Black Abbey. From there, you can find a rocky outcroppings that leads down to more land. Eventually, this will circle back around to a locked door near a treasure chest at the bottom level of the tower.
Go to the Pilgrim’s Gauntlet, get the Void Key, then return to the bottom door to continue deeper into this stratum.
