Call of the Arisen

  1. Your first task will be to set up your character. Choose your vocation and your weapons as to what suits you best.
  2. Head through the door for a cutscene. I love that archaic spelling of “magick” they choose to use in the subtitles. Like I said, this game is looking legit!
  3. Head to the inn once you have control of your character to pick up some goodies. The inn is going to be one building past your house- it’s large and hard to miss.
  4. Talk to Rojay by the water, who will reaffirm that there are monsters that need to be dealt with. Once you have done that, approach the large gate for a cutscene with Adaro.
  5. Once you are outside the gate, you won’t have to travel too far down the path to encounter some goblins. These things are easy pickings and provide experience for you. You will also be able to find rabbits out here to kill. This latter quest might not be the manliest of tasks, eh?
  6. After you clean up the area of hostiles, talk to Reynard.
  7. Head down the long path, taking care to conserve your stamina. You will get a note at the bottom of the screen if you do not manage it wisely. This is very important in Dragon’s Dogma. Approach the door and examine it and you will be taken to a save screen.
  8. Once you are in the encampment, go up the stairs directly in front of you for a quick cutscene.
  9. Examine the thing that looks like a tablet of sorts. You will get a lot of background information on the Arisen, as well as receive the option to partake in the Call of the Arisen quest.
  10. Approach the gate to your left and talk to the guard. Afterwards, approach the gate across from the first one for the next cutscene. Yeah, that thing is going to be your next opponent.
  11. You will be able to press Square to climb on the back of larger monsters. This battle is best fought by keeping your distance and attacking from afar. This will highly reduce the rate at which you’ll take damage.

Just wanted to point out that this isn’t actually a main quest
