Dragon’s Dogma Walkthrough

Table of Contents

A Rude Awakening

  1. Head back to the encampment. Head up the stairs. Here you can meet Ecbal, who will be of extreme use to you. You will be able to get new skills and rest (you don’t need to now, but the option’s always available).
  2. Approach the tablet next to Ecbal. Looks like you pass the bar. Now, you’ll get to customize a partner to bring on your quest. You’ll get to create someone pretty specific so have fun with it.
  3. Enjoy the next cutscene and take note of the prompt that says that your partner’s knowledge is an important aspect of this gameplay.
  4. After you hit the next checkpoint, you will find yourself in a rift. There will be plenty of pawns here, and you can pick a few to enter a covenant with and recruit to your party.
  5. Once you recruited who you want, observe the thing that looks like a tablet to exit the rift back to the encampment.
  6. Talk to Ser Berne twice in order to begin your training.
  7. Your first job is going to be to haul freight. Your first task will be to move the cargo. Speed is key here so mash on your control to keep moving.
  8. Once you complete this successfully, you will have to endure some combat training. Here, make sure that each class is taking care of the appropriate enemies in order to successfully pass.
  9. Once you complete your training, approach Mercedes and talk to her. Choose the option to rest.
  10. You will awake to a big mess. After the cutscene, you will have to fight this Hydra. It looks damn near impossible, but fear not, for this battle ends prematurely after a few hits. Pick the first option when you talk to Mercedes to complete the Rude Awakening quest.

Just wanted to point out that this isn’t actually a main quest
