We just received word that Dragon’s Lair will be headed to the Sony PSP. The world’s first full-animation laser disc video game continues its legacy.
United Coders, developers of the Nintendo DS version of the game is currently seeking a publisher for the Sony PSP version of the game, which they would like to release by Christmas 2008. They will be granting the publisher global publishing rights for the PSP format.
I can’t overstate the importance Dragon’s Lair has in the gaming industry. Only three games are currently on display at the Smithsonian Institution and Dragon’s Lair is one of them. The other two are Pac Man and Pong.
Hopefully United Coders picks up a publisher soon, because we would love to see a Sony PSP version of the game. Dragon’s Lair may be 25 years old now, but it’s still an exciting game that many old-school gamers and new gamers alike would enjoy on the PSP.

I would love for a publisher to step up and help United Coders out because Dragon’s Lair needs to be out there on every platform.
