Duke Nukem Forever on PC Will Use Steamworks

Gearbox has just announced (via a forum post) that the PC version of Duke Nukem Forever will use Steamworks. So why is that a big deal?

Well, for one, it means no invasive DRM. Just Steam. It also means that once you enter your CD key into Steam, you’ll be able to re-download the game onto any computer you own through Steam without having to use your disc. Lastly, this means you can use all the Steam community functions from within the game.

This is excellent news for PC gamers, since pretty much every one of us uses Steam extensively these days, if only for the awesome holiday sales. Plus, no SercuROM or other invasive DRM. BONUS!
