Turbine has published a new Dev Diary for Dungeons & Dragons Online on the MMO’s latest character class for Module 7: The Way of the Monk. The monk class in very similar to the traditional D&D monk. The monk is a fighter that hones his body as a weapon, but can train in a few weapons such as Kama, Quarterstaves, and Shuriken. They are excellent against magic and sorcery.
Monks use Ki energy to execute their Flurry of Blows move and power special attacks. To access their Ki, they must remain “centered.” Monks can’t use armor or shields, weild any weapon that isn’t Monk or Ki related and can’t be heavily burdened.
