Dust: An Elysian Tale Is Coming To Steam
Dust: An Elysian Tale made its mark when it was first released for the Xbox Live Arcade. Today, its developers confirmed that the game will soon be released on the PC through Steam. Its makers Dean Dodril and Alex Kain made the announcement at a PAX East panel.
According to Polygon, which broke the news, Dodril said he is hoping to get the game out on Steam by April. The developer says that the the developers are “not going to do a whole lot different” for the game with the PC version.
Dodril first began working on the title in 2008 with no prior experience in game development. It later went on to win the 2009 XNA Developer Dream-Build-Play competition, prompting Dodril to recruit writer Alex Kain to flesh out its story and dialogue.
Beyond porting the game to Steam, the developers added that they have plans to develop a sequel to Dust, but did not disclose any details beyond stating that they have “a lot of ideas for Dust 2.”
